Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush.

ds

I was totally skeptical when I got my hands on this Daniel Sandler watercolour blush. I’m all for cream and powder blushers but a liquid blush?! Would it not just slide off my face? I was quickly put in my place after giving this blush a go. The shade I picked was truth which is a peachy nude colour with a hint of shimmer in it. It’s a shade that’s well suited for those with a paler complexion because of the nude colour. It adds a sun-kissed look to the skin that is natural and glowing. Continue reading

Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Colour in Nude Beige (7)

bblipcolour3

Bobbi Brown is known for her high quality lip products that offer a great range of colours and formulas. I picked up this Sheer Lip Colour and believe it or not this was my first offering of a full BB lipstick. Her sheer lip colours are new and come in 14 different shades. I got the Nude Beige (7) which is like a pearl pink nude with a hint of shimmer. Continue reading

MUA Gel Eyeliner in Underground.

mua eyelinerEvery time I pop into Superdrug I usually high tail it to the MUA section to see what goodies they have there. It’s fast becoming one of my favourite budget brands as they constantly are bringing out new innovative products that are all nearly under the €4 price tag. I picked up this gel eyeliner last week and I’ve been using it since. It set me back the grand total of £3 and while not the biggest product, it packs a lot into it’s small appearance. My Dublin: United Nations Garden and Memorial Park.

20130502_140457 Hidden behind an unassuming pathway behind Arbour Hill prison and cemetery(post to come soon!) lies the Irish United Nations Veteran’s Association headquaraters and memorial park. There is a house to visit in the garden where you can see pictures, charts and memorabilia of where Irish peacekeepers served. However, it is the garden that completely blows me away. Well maintained, intimate and calm, it’s a place to sit for a while in peace. You can see in the photo above there are seats, dedicated to the UN, to sit on as well as a nice patio area (photo below). Continue reading

The Daily Face #3

IMG_5878It’s been a while since I did a FOTD post here on TooManyMuffins. I never have enough time in the morning to take photos, however this morning I got up early and had a hour to spare. Today’s face is simple with a flick of Clarin’s Instant Liner in the blackest of blacks ever. It’s fab and perfect for those not great with eyeliner (i.e. me!). I’m debuting a new foundation which I adore from Bobbi Brown. Post will come soon once I test it a little more! I picked up the Dainty Doll mineral powder foundation ages ago but it’s not the greatest (neither is the silly tube) and it smells funky so don’t be expecting to see it again! I finish with NYC’s Expert Last Lipstick in Air Kiss. It is a fab, well pigmented colour. And it’s cheap as chips!

So that’s today’s face. What do you think?Have you tried any of these products?

Music for the Weekend #6

Happy Weekend to you all!! Here is another installment of the tunes I’ll be listening to this weekend

The Pictish Trails hail from Scotland. When I first heard the intro to the song, Michael Rocket all I kept thinking was ‘this reminds me of some 80’s song…’ And then it hit me. Wang Chung with Dance Hall Days. The similarities end there though. Jessica Pratt has been around for a while now. When my boyfriend plays her music, I always end up asking who’s that again? Well I shouldn’t need to ask who she is because her voice and music are really hypnotic and calm. There is a feeling of a different time to her music. I’ve included a fantastic demo from Mikky Ekko called disappear. If this is a sample of things to come from the producer/singer-songrwiter then I’m hooked. I’m a little overwhelmed by Seamus Fogarty. Did you ever just wish you had discovered music earlier in your life so that you had it there as support and as a means of transport to another place. That’s how I feel about his music. Having listened to Rita Jack’s Lament, I felt this huge longing for some reason throughout the song. Maybe it’s the old woman’s voice reminding me of my grandmother. I don’t know. His experimentation with sound and noise is perfection. So I’ve included his song The Evening Lay Down Upon Us. Prepare to be transported. Continue reading

Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow Review.

IMG_5864I think I may have finally found a blusher I am truly in love with. While browsing on one my favourite beauty sites Cult Beauty, I happened upon Kevyn Aucoin’s cream blusher in the shade Pravella. After the success of the cheap and cheerful Dainty Doll cream blusher, I wanted to try more! Well this one does not disappoint, I promise you! Continue reading
