Music for the Weekend #12

It’s been a little while since I featured a Music for the Weekend playlist. I’ve had this playlist ready for a while now but I added on some new tunes from James Vincent McMorrow and Enrique Iglesias of all people! His song sounds like every other pop song possibly released. It’s gas really and I just had to include it cos it’s probably gonna be massive! Starting the playlist off is an atmospheric song from Chelsea Wolfe, the L.A. singer-songwriter. Everybody loves a little bit of electro-pop and Haerts produce that exact sound in their new EP Hemiplegia. The title track is featured. Anna Calvi is back on the scene (much to my delight) and her song A Kiss to Your Twin is featured also.

My obsession with Volcano Choir continues and I’ve featured an unreal remix of Comrade. I’m sure you have all heard of Hozier by now, god knows Today FM feature him enough (they always overplay new artists). With a voice that echoes James Blake, he is one to watch for the future. His track Take Me To Church is lovingly included below. The next three songs are nice-easy listening tunes from Boardwalk, Wild Leaves and Smalltown America. Hope you all enjoy the few songs and don’t forget to follow me on Soundcloud. Have a great weekend everyone!
